As we begin the ceremony of Consecration, it is useful to remember which relics are placed at the altar. First of all, a relic of St. James the Greater, Apostle. Then three martyrs: St. Ignatius of Antioch, St. Thecla, St. Timothy… a relic of St. Pius X. These relics admonish us: «Love the church, respect the church, help the church» (RSP, p. 525).
