It is in faith that the mind trains itself to live in God… The faithful believes, not because he has understood this with reason, but because God says so. He can also understand nothing of the mystery believed; but does it matter? God says it, that is enough. For the mind, this is a renunciation of living in itself, in order to live in God (ACV, 24).
