Christian hope guides us in life. How many do not have hope!… They only seek what is in the present life. But how many people also have hope? And they also make sacrifices: for what? Eh, for Paradise! And who is it that gives himself to God? Who hopes for Paradise… Who hopes for the prize! (AP 1957, 231).
