If God is infinite good, he is joy, and he has invited us to Paradise, then we desire it, we want it, here is hope. But since Paradise is supernatural, so grace is needed, that is: we hope for the goodness of God and for the merits of Jesus Christ, that he has opened Paradise to us (APD63, 78).
