There are things in St. Paul’s teaching that are lofty and difficult, but St. John Chrysostom gives us the secret to penetrate and understand them: to love St. Paul. The more we love, the more we understand; the more we love, the more we are introduced so as to participate in the secrets of his heart (APim, p. 127).
