The Pious Society of St. Paul should often reflect on «Ad quid venisti?» («Why did you come here?»). Let it always find a place in its heart for intellectuals. The Gospel is something divine: it speaks to the minds of everyone; it is able to satisfy the questions of peoples of every age (AD 197).
