The Institutes begin with works of fervour; after a while we look for… interest. They have opened hospices for the poor; fifty or sixty years later, priority is given to those who pay the most; and the poor… are in the same condition as before… Yes, the resources for living are needed; but the nature of the Institute must not be changed!
