Why love the neighbour? Because, he’s God’s image. We must pass in front of our brother with the same reverence with which we pass in front of the image of the Holy Trinity. Our neighbour, our brother, represents Jesus Christ to us, and everything we do to our neighbour, Jesus considers it as done to Himself (RSP, p. 129).
