Jesus on the cross gave us a mother. He had already given everything… the Church, the Sacraments, the Gospel, the Eucharist, Himself. He was left with this great gift to give to us, and he wanted to give it to us in the very last moments of his life, because the memories that are given in death remain more etched in the soul (Pr 5, 168).
