John the Baptist confessed who he was: “A voice crying out: Make straight the way of the Lord” (John 1:23). When the Lord gives a mission, it must be fulfilled. Acknowledge your mission and carry it out with sincerity and freedom—always with prudence. That is to serve and love God. (AP 1957, 224)
