«I thirst». This is the cry coming out from the adorable lips of Jesus. Jesus was thirsty, thirsty for souls, and to extinguish this thirst he let himself be crucified and allowed his side to be opened, a sure receptacle to receive all of them (The Pauline Springtime, p. 347).
