Humankind multiplied. God arranged the time and prepared humanity to receive the Redeemer, his Son. Because of Abraham’s faith, God chose him to be the father of a people from whom the blessed fruit of Mary, the Savior of the world, would be born (see Gen 12:1-9; 22:1–19).
My God, I adore and thank your loving and wise providence.
Amid the shadows of error, you kindle the light of your Truth; amid universal corruption, you are the Just One; amid so much idolatry, humanity in every corner of the earth has always cultivated a sincere worship of you.
