XI

Jesus Christ chooses the Twelve, whom he called apostles, to continue and extend his mission in the world. He founds the Church, his faithful people and Mystical Body, and entrusts her to the pastoral care of a head, Peter, to be way, truth, and life in her (see Mk 3:13–19; Mt 16:13–19).

May you be blessed, O Jesus Christ, for having made the priest another Christ.
May you be blessed because you established the Church as our mother, teacher, and guide.
May you be blessed because you founded the Church on Peter, to be infallible and catholic.
I will always meditate on your words: “As the Father has sent me, so I send you” (Jn 20:21), to preach, guide, and sanctify everyone.
