XII

Jesus Christ offered himself to the Father as host, a sacrifice of atonement and supplication. He died to be our life on earth by means of grace, and in heaven by means of glory. Justice and mercy embrace; in Christ, we are reconciled with the Father, paradise is reopened, and all are invited to enter (see Jn 12:23–33).

May you be blessed, O Jesus Christ, Priest and Sacrifice, perfect Victim, and worthy Mediator.
In you is salvation, resurrection and life.
Your blood is the font of salvation: rain upon me and wash me.
Let it fall on the world to purify and save it.
